During construction, this manual will detail every stage of the construction process, as well as prepare you for every meeting that you must attend with your Personal Project Manager

The Path to Your New Home

  1. Mortgage Loan Application - Within 5 days of the effective date of the contract

  2. Color Selections - With our Design Consultant

  3. Homeowner Review #1 – Pre-Construction Meeting with the Construction Manager or Builder

  4. Homeowner Review #2 – Pre-Drywall Meeting with the Construction Manager or Builder at your new home

  5. Homeowner Review #3 – Trim Meeting with the Construction Manager or Builder at your new home

  6. Pre-Final Review – With Construction Manager or Builder at your new home

  7. Homeowner Review #4 – Final Orientation with the Construction Manager or Builder

Critical Stages / Milestones of the Construction of Your Home

  1. Foundation - Lot preparation has been completed and the foundation has been installed

  2. Frame Complete - All interior and exterior walls have been installed, as well as the roof trusses and sheathing.

  3. Windows and Roofing – Installation of the windows, roofing and even exterior doors has been completed at this stage.

  4. Ready for Drywall - Electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems have been installed and inspected and wall insulation has also been installed.

  5. Drywall Completed - The exterior veneer (stucco, brick, siding and/or stone) has been installed and the drywall ceiling and wall textures have also been installed

  6. Wood Trim & Interior Door Installation - This stage has been completed upon the installation of the interior doors and moldings.

  7. Cabinets & Countertops - All Kitchen and Bathroom cabinets and countertops have been installed at this stage. Painting is also being completed.

  8. Flooring Completed – All hard surface flooring (tile, hardwood), as well as carpet has been completely installed. Lighting and plumbing fixtures have also been installed.

  9. Final Details Completed - the Builder and Construction Manager have walked your home and have completed a thorough quality inspection.

  10. Homeowner Acceptance and Orientation – Your new JL Linder Group home has been completed! Your Construction Manager or Builder will walk with you through your home to present and demonstrate of its features to you. You will be moving into your new home very soon!
